AI is said to be the future of healthcare. But which department is leading it? Turns out it’s radiology after all! In this interesting presentation from Sheba Medical Center, Tel Aviv, analysis on all the FDA’s list of AI/ML medical devices.
70% of all FDA approved AI devices are in radiology! Radiology is leading AI transformation of the hospital by a margin!
What happens when AI goes wrong?
AI will never be 100% right and it will invariably go wrong sometimes. What do we do about that? This research from Rhode Island Hospital radiologists has found that AI mistakes can be mitigated by providing AI Region of interest (ROI) and allowing it to be deleted/modified by docs.
